During the first lockdown in March 2020 Yulianna Avdeeva started presenting weekly live streams on Facebook in which she played and discussed pieces with her audience, including the entire Well-Tempered Clavier Book I by Johann Sebastian Bach.
She went live 36 times and streamed 1.742 minutes in total. Her live streams have been watched 400.000 times so far, reaching a worldwide audience.
Starting 14 January 2021 Yulianna Avdeeva will continue her weekly live streams with Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier Book II.
Since the first lockdown Yulianna has been presenting weekly live streams where she plays and discusses pieces, gives advice to her piano playing audience and answers questions on certain topics. Up to now she has - among other things - presented the entire Well-Tempered Clavier Book I by Bach, discussed many other pieces of the piano repertoire or held a Q&A session with her followers. This week her audience can choose between Chopin's Ballade No. 1 or 3.
Mieczyslaw Weinberg Chamber Music recording with Gidon Kremer and Giedrė Dirvanauskaitė came out on October 18th on Deutsche Grammophon. This project is very special for Yulianna, and she feels most happy to share the wonderful music by Weinberg with her audience.
Yulianna Avdeeva takes her audience on a journey through Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. On YouTube, she shared a live video recording, made during her recital at the Grand Hall of St. Petersburg Philharmonia. “For me, the Pictures at an exhibition are one of the most unique pieces for piano and it was my dream to perform the piece since early childhood which is when I heard the cycle for the very first time.”, she says.
Following her successful debut with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Constantinos Carydis earlier this month in three performances of Tchaikovsky’s Concerto for Piano No. 1 in Birmingham and Leeds, next month sees Yulianna Avdeeva make her recital debut at Pierre Boulez Saal Berlin performing works by Shostakovich, Bach, Skalkottas and Liszt. Season 2018/2019 also sees Avdeeva making her debut at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg where she joins forces with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic and their chief conductor Giancarlo Guerrero. Her first collaboration with the Filharmonia Poznańska and Łukasz Borowicz will feature concerts in Milan and Prague.
