Yulianna Avdeeva returns to the Chopin Festival in Warsaw

Following on from a summer of European recitals, Yulianna Avdeeva returns to the Chopin Festival in Warsaw on 22 August to perform a programme of Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 6 in D Major K.284, Liszt's Danza sacra e duetto finale d’Aida and Après une lecture du Dante and Chopin’s Préludes. The latter work is released on disc by Mirare on 1 September, along with pieces by Prokofiev and Schubert.

This year the Festival’s theme is ‘Chopin and his Europe’ and Yulianna joins a line up of significant pianists including Martha Argerich and Maria João Pires. Also performing at the Festival are the Apollon Musagète Quartet and Krzysztof Urbański with the Trondheim Symfoniorkester.

Later this season Yulianna joins Julia Fischer on a tour of duo recitals around France starting at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad on 29 August.
